Artist, Mai Hong Jun of the Hui Nationality, was born in 1969 in He-Nan Province of China. He graduated from the Central Academy of fine Arts. He learned Chinese painting from Mr He Haixia and Jia Youfu. 1989 graduated from the Central University of Nationalities and studied in the Central Academy of Fine Arts teaching postgraduate classes in 1999.

He has awarded the "Outstanding Young Artist". He won the Gold award of the "50th anniversary of the National Gallery exhibition" and won the bronze medal at the 99 National Art Show.

He is presently a professional artist of the Beijing Academy of Fine Arts. He is a member of the Artists Association of China and a National First Grade Artist.
