Artist Duan Xin Ming was born in 1957 in Gansu province of China. He graduated from the Northwest University majoring in Chinese Painting in 1982.

Artist Duan Xin Ming used to be the President of the Jiuquan Painting Academy, Chairman of Jiuquan Artists Association and is presently a member of the Artists Association of China, Vice Chairman, Secretary-General and professional artist of Lanzhou Artists Association, the National Grade 2 artist of China.

His works have been shown and awarded in many art exhibitions at different levels. He has held solo and group exhibitions in Beijing, Guangzhou, Dunhuang, Lanzhou, Luoyang, etc. His works and achievements can be found in several academic journals, such as Art, Chines painting, Renmin Daily, Art Paper and so on.

          Association.
1991 : Powerful Grace of the Great Desert, International Painting and Calligraphy
          Invitational Exhibition, and excellent work prize.
1994 : Interest, the Art Exhibition in the 4th Chinese Art Festival, an excellent work
          prize.
1998 : Homeland of a Long History, ' 98 National Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition
          organized by China Literature and Art Union and China Artists Association,
          an excellent work prize.
1999 : Autumn High and Air Fresh, the 9th National Art Exhibition, Gansu Art
          Exhibition, a 1st prize. Autumn Scenery of Mount Long, ' 99 Landscapes Art
          Exhibition for greeting the new century and the 50th birthday of the PRC;
          Autumn SceneryQinling, National painting and Calligraphy Exhibition, and
          excellent-work prize. Autumn Dream of Mount Long, Gansu Art Exhibition, a
          1st prize.
