Artist Wang Luxia, female, was born in Beijing in 1953. She started to practice painting in her childhood as she was raised in an artistic family of traditional Chinese style. Her works have been exhibited in more than thirty countries with many awards such as Silver Prize at Vienna World Youth Festival.
She graduated from art department of He-nan Normal College by the end of 1970s. She was a student of those famous Chinese painters like Wu Zuo Ren, Li Ku Chan and Lu Chen etc.
Based on the research of Chinese traditional painting and folk art with her own experience from life, she has made great efforts to obtain breakthrough in the art field. Her works have strong color, plain yet natural patterns, combining heavy color in Chinese painting, folk and modern aesthetic concepts, thus forming her own unique style.
Her works have been exhibited in Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, USA, Canada and France. Lots of her creations have been collected and widely acclaimed by home and abroad.
