Artist : Jiang Zhi Xin was born in 1949 in Gansu province, China. In 1974, graduated from the Department of Arts, Northwest Normal University. In 1983, entered Beijing Arts Academy for advanced studies, being student of Masters Wang WenFang, Jia YiuFu and Zhou ShaoHua. In 1987, he was the first man of Gansu province held the solo art exhibition "Jiang ZhiXin, the Soul-of-Soil" in the China National Gallery, Beijing. In 2001 held another solo art exhibition "Chasing the Soul of Northwest" again at same gallery. He held several solo art exhibitions at Shanghai gallery. Jiansu gallery, National gallery of Korea, Art Center of Hong Kong, Culture Center of Hong Kong, and in Los Angeles, U.S.A.
In 1995, Gansu TV Station & Central CCTV produced an introductory program "Soul-of-Soil Master Jiang ZhiXin & His Masterpieces of Great China West". Central CCTV'S weekly "Sons of the East" produced another program "Jiang ZhiXin & His Arts of the West".
In 1995-1997, invited twice by Paris International Art Center as activity-exchange. Held 9 solo art exhibitions in France and awarded the silver Medal by Le Merited ET in 1996.
He combined the Chinese painting with the Western painting artists try to show the majesty of the boundless loess plateau and formed a unique style in painting.
He is an artist of Gansu Art Academy, also a member of the Artists Association of China and a National First Grade Artist.
